Since having babies, I have had to undergo elimination diets to help both kids with food allergies and intolerances. It is HARD WORK! Especially not being able to just grab take away or a pre prepared meal from the supermarket. Most cookbooks or food magazines are full of the major allergens leaving very little inspiration for the allergy family. The 11 Allergy-Friendly recipes in this free Allergy-Friendly Cookbook will help jazz up your weekly meals as well as a few special treats too!!

Looking for some information about allergies? Check out the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy.

Food allergy occurs in around 1 in 20 children and in about 2 in 100 adults. The most common triggers are egg, cow’s milk, peanut, tree nuts, seafood, sesame, soy, fish and wheat. The majority of food allergies in children are not severe, and may be ‘outgrown’ with time. However, peanut, tree nut, seed and seafood allergies are less likely to be outgrown and tend to be lifelong allergies. Some food allergies can be severe, causing life-threatening reactions known as anaphylaxis. Source ASCIA.
